Chef Jason Smith and his wife Lauren dreamed of owning a special restaurant. In 2006 they opened the doors to 18 Seaboard.

Housed in downtown Raleigh’s "Shops at Seaboard Station"... an historic coastal train station... 18 Seaboard was a top-rated Triangle go-to destination for cuisine, service, and hospitality.

A winner of multiple awards from numerous media outlets... including "best chef", "restaurant", "power lunch" and "best service"... 18 Seaboard was a favorite destination for business meetings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and special occasions.

Chef Smith continues to lead a culinary group committed to serving contemporary Southern inspired dishes with ingredients sourced from North Carolina farms, ranches, fishmongers and dairies at his other restaurants; Cantina 18 in both Raleigh and Morrisville, as well as Harvest 18 in Durham.
